General Practice

General Practice, or Family Medicine, is a recognised specialty in Australia requiring additional training, examinations and assessments. It is the specialty of treating people as a whole. People are not just their heart, just their nerves, or just their bones. We exist as a whole being and our bodies reflect that. When our hearts fail, our legs may swell, our breathing may get hard, our skin may feel dry. Nothing can replace continuity of care and a good GP who knows you as a whole.
